STRESS AND RESILIENCE
This workshop is all about growth and resilience; growing up, fortifying ourselves as individuals, and caring for ourselves and each other in the face of ongoing stress or change.
Have you ever noticed that something that stresses you is not a problem for someone else and that we all act different when stressed? Do you wonder why your attempt to console someone seems to tip them over the edge? This workshop will show you how our stress reactions are individual and linked to our personality type. It will show you what is normal for your type and other types, and what can be done to alleviate stress in each type.
As we mature, we become more balanced in our approach to life and in our response to difficulties. In this workshop we will look at how our individual types develop over the course of our lives and how this process is disrupted at times of stress. We will look at the path of maturity for each personality type and how this development can be hastened. We will consider our differing reactions to stress: our triggers, our behaviours and what we need to help us calm down. We will finish with a plan to fortify ourselves in the long term so that we can be strong and respond in a healthy way in spite of pressure and challenges.
Outcomes
• Understand your individual path to maturity
• Identify activities that will challenge you and enhance your personal development
• Note what triggers stress in yourself and those you are close to
• Learn how each type will act under stress and what they need to calm them
• Understand how to nourish and develop your personality so you are fortified to face challenges in the future
The team learned to change their emotional patterns by curtailing their negative thinking and moving towards thinking positively. They are now looking at the restructure as an opportunity to learn and grow, build their confidence and their skill sets. The workshop helped them focus on the things they have control over, rather than worrying about the uncontrollable.
